Hector Finch

Hector Finch founded his eponymous lighting company in the mid 1980s in Lancashire. Working with his father, a general antiques dealer, to source lighting, along with specialist restorers, metal craftsman and glass blowers he brought fully restored and rewired antique and vintage lighting to his customers. In the 1990s Hector moved the shop to London and began adding modern manufactured lights to the mix. As the new millennium approached Hector’s wife, Emma, joined the business, they expanded to representation in the States, and the company started to design and manufacture a signature collection of fixtures, primarily for the design trade.

Fusing crisp, precision metalwork by British artisans with glass work sourced from mainland Europe, the range has grown with a design aesthetic of clean lines, correct proportions and a less-is-more philosophy. Hector Finch prides themselves on supporting specialist craft makers for their Italian glass and ceramic ranges and are passionate about maintaining relationships with traditional, family owned businesses. They believe in sustainability based on the simple premise that if something is well made and beautiful it will have a long and useful life and aspire to provide a product that sells across the world because it satisfies a demand for high quality, well designed lighting that will give pleasure to future generations.
