Ann-Morris Inc was established in 1947 by founders Ann and Morris Schinderman, who recognized an opportunity to import European antiques to New York after WWII. Initially, the business focused on bringing unique antiques to the mainstream consumer market in NYC.

As the years passed, Ann-Morris transitioned from specializing in antique imports to creating custom lighting and fabrications. By the 1970s, the company had positioned itself to be a premier manufacturer of custom lighting, kitchen pot racks, and bar stools. This shift was further influenced by Ralph Lauren and his design team in the 1980s, who frequently requested re-manufactured one-of-a-kind antique lighting. Responding to these increased requests, Ann-Morris began expanding its network of skilled metalworkers in the NYC tri-state area, developing a manufacturing process that emphasized quality and craftsmanship.

Today, over 50 years later, these products remain the core of Ann-Morris’ operations. The company prides itself on its rich history of collaboration with the world’s leading architects and designers, fostering valuable partnerships that endure to this day.
