Alex Conroy Textiles

Bay Area-based textile designer Alex Conroy is drawn to a wide range of artistic and decorative styles that have made their way into her collection, including Indian block-prints, Italian ceramics, and English transferware. “I find inspiration everywhere,” Alex notes, “from the natural landscapes of California’s rolling hills to wrought iron gates, mosaic floors, and painted tiles. When I traveled to India a few years ago, the rich décor and architecture inspired me to think about design in a different way.”

“As a textile designer, I have tried to address the problems I regularly face in working with my clients,” Alex says. “I designed a flexible collection that allows clients a broad choice, along with the freedom to mix and match pattern, scale, and color.” Her linen collection is available in two distinct color palettes—bright and pastel—and are printed on both natural and oyster grounds.  

Alex Conroy Textiles linens are hand-drawn and printed to order in Pennsylvania using eco-friendly, light-fast dyes on the finest Belgian linen. The wallpaper collection is printed to order in Connecticut on natural sisal and coated papers, and the performance collection is printed in Australia. Custom color requests are welcome.
